It was another good day, filled with lots of time spent with friends and family.
He had another good night’s sleep and a very late morning waking up. Our first visitors of the day were the Smith family. They got in some good racing time on the Wii!

After after that we headed to the local rec center to see some friends there. They were waiting for us with lots of smiles, hugs, encouraging words, and some wonderful gifts. It was great to see them and the kids even got to take some laps around the track.

On Friday nights, we usually go out with Julia’s family for dinner, but tonight we invited everyone over to our house to eat and play some video games. It was a lot of fun to get everybody involved in the games. We had an all-family tennis tournament, which gave is some great laughs and exercise.
The day has gone by really fast, and Elijah has done well today.
There is one thing that we’d like to ask your prayer for. Last night when we were putting Elijah to bed, he was complaining about how cold it was in his room. It wasn’t really that cold and it got me wondering about why he thought it was so cold. Now, is normally cold anyways, but this seemed a little more cold than usual. I decided to take his temperature and it turned out that he was running a little bit of a fever. It wasn’t much, just in the 99s or low 100’s. Julia gave him some ibuprofen and the fever went away for most of the night. Every time I’ve taking his temperature today though, the fever has been there. It’s still the same, remaining in the 99’s, so we’re not overly worried about it. Our instructions from the hospital we’re not to call them unless the temperature went over 101 degrees. However, we’re a little concerned that it could be a sign of something not quite right. We don’t want there to be an infection or something like that happening that could cause complications with his recovery. So please pray that this fever would go away and that it wouldn’t be a sign of anything more serious. It hasn’t seemed to affect him in any was as he’s been acting completely normal and feeling as good as normal. His new normal at least. And how could you not feel great with so many great people around to spend time and have fun with you?
