3 weeks down.

Today is the 3-week anniversary of Elijah surgery. It’s amazing how fast it’s gone, and how well he continues to do.

We started out the day with a yummy breakfast of donuts at one of our favorite local places.

Homeschooling is continuing to go well. They finished their first week of school today. I imagine it will get harder starting next week, though, because I will be back to work and won’t be able to take care of Abigail while Julia works with Elijah. I’ll still be working at home for a few weeks, so I’ll be around, but I’ll be working and not able to take her out or play with her during that time. Today I took her to run some errands with me and do a little shopping, and Julia and Elijah stayed home to work on his schooling.

When we got home, Julia and Elijah wanted to play Mario Kart, so the four of us played that together. Then it was time for lunch, and the usual afternoon routine. The kids had their rest time and Julia and I worked on projects.

Tonight we did took another trip to Sam’s Club where we had dinner and did a little shopping. and of course, we had to try out the furniture.

Then it was back home for a little more Mario Kart and bedtime. Not a whole lot to report today, and we didn’t have any visitors, so it was a pretty quiet day.

One thing that Julia and I were talking about today, is that we’ve noticed some differences with Elijah since taking him off of his prescription medications. He’s been controlling his speech better, meaning the crazy talk, potty talk, loud talk type stuff has settled down, and he’s more in control of what comes out of his mouth. We’ve also noticed an increase in his coordination and processing, like with Mario Kart. He’s doing better with that now. It’s good to see him returning back to his normal self and to see some of the crazy go away.

I think we’re going to try to get in the pool tomorrow. A lot of people have been asking us if we’ve taken him swimming yet, and the answer is no mainly because we’ve been busy doing other things. But, we want to make time to do that and see if it’s fun for him. Hopefully it goes well.
