A day with family.

I’m sorry to report that we didn’t go swimming today. We did, however, spend much of the day with family having fun. So, I think that makes up for it.

In in the morning, my brother Jesse and his family came to visit. They also brought my mom with them. Elijah got to play quite a bit of Mario Kart with his cousins, and they treated us too a great lunch.

It did take Elijah quite a while to eat his lunch since he was busy talking most of the time!

We had our normal rest time after they left, and not too long after that we headed out for dinner with Julia’s family. Oh, and Elijah got to play with Kevin for a short time right before we left for dinner.

We didn’t do dinner at our house tonight like we’ve done the past couple of Friday nights. Tonight we went to Culver’s, which is one of our regular spots. Elijah must not have been able to talk to his cousins enough earlier in the day because he was non stop talking through our entire dinner. He just had so much to say!

We stopped at a store on the way home, and then it was home for bedtime. It doesn’t sound like much, but the day seemed very full and went by quickly. It was a good day, and Elijah is still doing well with his pain. Plus, the rash on his bottom seems to be doing better as well.

We’re thinking of doing a short day trip tomorrow up to some cooler weather, so I may have a more exciting post for you tomorrow. Stay tuned!
