A quiet day.

This will be a short one. We didn’t do a whole lot today, and there’s not much to talk about.

It was present day, though! Today we opened a couple presents from the Gransees and the Finleys.

Elijah has had so much fun working on, and playing with all of his presents. They’ve really helped to pass time and to have fun doing it. Abigail has also gotten a lot of great gifts and gets to share a lot of what Elijah has received as well. Thank you all for spoiling them so much!

Homeschooling was a bit rough today, but it’s only week two, so they’re still working out their groove. Today was also the first day that Julia had to deal with both Elijah and Abigail together, so I’m sure that contributed to it. I was able to take Abigail for a little while so Julia and Elijah could have some time alone together. We won’t be able to do that everyday, but that’s okay.

The rest of the day was pretty normal. Lunch, rest time, some playtime, and dinner by the TV. We did get to spend a little time with some family friends Val and Lupe, when they brought us over some wonderful dinner. It was nice to have visitors, though sometimes Elijah gets a little shy around people for some reason. He used to talk to everybody all the time, but he’s started to get quiet around some adults. I guess maybe it’s because he’s getting older?

I did ask Elijah at one point today how his legs felt, because I was curious to know if he was sore from swimming yesterday. He did say that his legs hurt a little, but he only mentioned it because I asked and didn’t say anything else about it. I guess that means he wasn’t too sore, but we’ll see if tomorrow is the same. I know for me it usually doesn’t hit until 2 days after. We’ll see!
