More and more movement.

There’s not much to report about what we did today, but what I want to talk about is the increasing movement we’ve been seeing in Elijah.

This morning I was playing with him in his bed, and he didn’t have his wedge between his legs. The game we were playing was a tickle game and we’d try to get each other. He was doing quite a bit of not only moving his legs and bending them up in the air, but at one point he even rolled onto his side and then on to his belly. I’m not sure if he’s supposed to be doing that or not, so it worried me a little bit and I had him move back onto his back. But none of that movement seem to bother him at all, and if it did he sure wasn’t showing it. It was a great sign to me to see how much he could move without it bothering him and I am excited for the day when he can move like that without having us having to worry about it. We still keep him in his wedge most of the time, just to be on the safe side. He sleeps with it on as well, which means that he can never sleep on his side or his tummy. His legs always stay flat with the wedge, but he twists his upper body around to try to get comfortable. It’ll be nice when he’s free to move about again. We’re definitely getting closer to that day!

Regarding what we did today, there wasn’t anything too exciting. We went out this morning to a few places and by the time we got home it was getting close to lunchtime. Elijah’s friend Kevin came over for a bit, and Julia and I worked on projects during the kids rest time. Tonight was quiet, and we all played some video games together before bed.

There wasn’t much more to the day than that, at least not much worth sharing on the blog!

Just to throw in a picture, here’s one for you. At one point when Elijah had his wedge off, Abigail wanted to put it on and then wanted Mommy to carry her like we carry Elijah. He or she is being carried around just like her brother!
