Running around

Today was a busy day. Julia was running around going to different appointments. Abigail was gone with Aunt Jen for a good portion of the day, and I was at home with Elijah. I had a busy day at work, and also helping Elijah with his schooling when I would get a few minutes here and there. We did get to do some fun things, though.

After we got his normal school work done, I worked with him on a couple different science experiments. These are ones that take a little time, though, so none of them are finished quite yet. The first thing we worked on was making some crystals. You do this by making a special solution, and then letting that solution sit for a few days to form crystals. Here’s what it looks like right now, and I’ll do my best to show you what it looks like when it’s all done in a couple days:

We also worked on creating a volcano. This one was a gift that was given to him, and we completed the first step of it today, which was setting up the pieces and then coating it with a special type of plaster. It was a messy but fun process!

It it needs some time to dry, but by tomorrow we should be able to paint it and make it look like a real volcano. Then we’ll be able to make it erupt with glowing lava! We’re really excited for that part.

Later later in the day, Elijah wanted to try his hand at running. I took a video to show what that looks like. Here you go:

Yep, he’s got a long way to go!

We also took a trip to Sam’s Club tonight to pick up a few things, and as usual we had to try out the chairs!

Tomorrow, Elijah has a dentist appointment. He’s done very well with getting dental work in the past, so hopefully tomorrow goes well too. We’ll let you know tomorrow!
