I won’t bore you with the details of today. It was pretty much a repeat of last Friday, so if you really want to know what we did today, you can go back and read last week’s post from Friday! If you’d like a really quick recap, though, I’ll give you one below.
Elijah had physical therapy in the morning, followed by art class around lunch time. Then he and Julia went to Good News Club in the afternoon. We finished off the day by going to dinner with Julia’s family and then took a quick trip over to Target. Okay the Target thing was different this Friday!
The only other thing I’ll throw in, is that I went to the eye doctor today. Last year I had a case of iritis, which was somewhat serious, and we never figured out the cause. It was likely something to do with my body, but we don’t know what. So, there’s a reasonable chance that I could get it again. A few days ago I started having symptoms in my left eye that were similar to my iritis from last year. I had some leftover steroid eye drops from last year, so I started using those hoping that I could stop it before it really started. After a few days though, I was still having some pain in both eyes, so I decided to go in to see the eye doctor today. Because iritis is fairly serious, they do their best to squeeze you in as soon as possible, so even though there weren’t any openings today they had me come in right away and squeezed me in with a different doctor. She didn’t find any signs of iritis, which was good, but she was concerned about this lump of flesh I have in the corner of my eye. It’s been there for years and it’s something that I notice gets irritated and sometimes bothers me. Other eye doctors never seemed too concerned about it, but she was somewhat concerned. She referred me to another specialist to get it biopsied. I guess it resembles something called a salmon patch, which can be cancerous, so she wants me to be tested. So, while you’re praying for Elijah in our family, you can throw one in for my eye as well.
And to end on a happier note, here’s a picture of Abigail sleeping on the chair in her room. It was nap time, and she should have been in her bed, but she doesn’t always stay there and sometimes falls asleep in other places.
