If any of you reading this are not in Arizona, the excitement for today was our rain. It was one of the wettest October days in history. We always get excited when it rains outside! Despite the rain, we did get out a couple of times, but it also gave us some good time to be in and get some things done… Like decorating our volcano.
I was at work while Julia and the kids worked on this. They used the paint that came with the kit, but then also supplemented it with some of our own paint. The kit also comes with some glow-in-the-dark paint, but it says that you can either paint it on, or you can use it in the eruption mixture to make glowing lava. That sounds pretty cool to us, so we saved that paint for the eruption. We didn’t do the eruption today, because we’re waiting for the paint to fully dry. It’ll look pretty cool when it’s finally erupting!
Other other than that, Julia and the kids took a trip to the rec center in the afternoon, and we took a trip to the thrift store tonight. The rest of the day, they were at home (and I was at work for a good part of the day). Some of the neighbor kids came over this afternoon as well, and they played here for a while.
Elijah’s dentist appointment part 2 is tomorrow. We have his medicine, so there shouldn’t be anything to hold it up this time.
