For those of you that don’t know, our church has been without a pastor for almost 2 years now. For the most part, the leadership team has shared the responsibility of giving the sermons on Sunday mornings. As part of the leadership team, this means that I do this regularly. Today was one of those days.
Things keep getting better…mostly.
It’s amazing how fast some of these days go by. I hope the same is true for Elijah.
Friends and family.
It was another good day, filled with lots of time spent with friends and family.
1 week down.
Today is the one-week anniversary of Elijah’s surgery. I’ve personally been surprised at how well it’s gone so far and all I can say is that it’s truly an answer to prayer. We know that so many are praying for us and God has definitely shown grace on Elijah and our family so far.
Almost a week.

Our first full day home.
As I sit here thinking about what to write in today’s blog post, there’s not a whole lot that comes to mind. I guess these days, though, no news is good news.
It’s good to be home.
Sorry for the late post everyone. The first half of our day was quite hectic. Then once we got home we felt like we needed to spend our time with Elijah getting him settled back in. He’s had someone with him every minute since his surgery, so it didn’t feel right just to park him in front of the TV by himself while Julia and I went to work getting our lives back in order.

Yesterday was very consistent. Today has been a little bit more up and down. I think that we are mostly to blame for that, though.

A good day.
Ok, so maybe not all of it was great, but overall it’s been a pretty good day!
