And he’s off!

Today, Elijah got his wheelchair!

While he wasn’t as surprised to see it as we thought he would be, he did seem pretty pleased with it and hopped right on to try it out. I was actually surprised at how well he was moving around on it since this was his first time in a wheelchair. But he’ll have to wait a bit longer to practice some more as it’s off to grandma and grandpa Rice’s shop for upgrades… and by upgrades I mean custom cushions! I told him maybe we could put some lights and decorations on it too, to which he responded “Yeah, like Christmas lights!”. Well, not exactly what I was thinking, but hey, whatever makes him feel good about it. Here he is seeing it and trying it out for the first time:

But don’t forget that whatever brother does, sister has to do as well. She’s not too bad on it herself!
