It’s been over 2 weeks now since Elijah had his surgery. Today was much like many of the other days over the past week. It went by fast, and Elijah did well.
We had some friends over in the morning, and we played for a while with them. After they left, it was present time!
Elijah’s already talking about learning some of the tricks and putting on a little show for the family. How fun will that be?!
Our big trip out today was to Sam’s Club. We had some hot dogs for lunch, did some shopping, and looked around the store. When we would go in the past, the kids favorite part was always the aisle with the furniture, because they liked sitting on the different chairs and couches. Today, we let Elijah get a little bit of that same experience and we took him out of his wheelchair and put him on some of the furniture so he could do that again. Here he is with his sister sharing a couch.
After rest time he got to play with his friend Kevin for a while, and then Julia’s family came over to our house for our Friday night dinner together. Just like last Friday night, we had dinner and then played some games on the Wii. Tonight was tennis and bowling, and it was lots of fun.
So, it was a busy, but fun day. Elijah did seem a bit more emotional today and I’m not sure why, but overall he still did very well all things considered.
