Slowing down

I hope that this blog has in some way been a blessing to you. At a minimum, I hope it helped you to feel that you were in the know with everything that’s been going on in our lives. But, it’s time that I take a step back from this, not completely, but a step.

As you know, things have pretty much returned to normal in our life. You can see this in many of my blog posts where I don’t have much to share except the usual things we do each day or each week. One of the things you don’t know, however, is that you are one of the few people remaining that actually read this blog. Around the time of Elijah’s surgery, we had a pretty good following, because people wanted to know how he was doing and what was happening. As he healed, and our lives started to return to normal, people stopped checking the blog as often, or just stopped altogether. One of the big reasons we wanted to do the blog, was to make our means of communicating out information easier and more efficient. These days, however, most people just ask us for updates when we see them, and most of you reading this are probably people that would get this information from us anyway. So, it doesn’t help us too much these days, and it takes quite a bit of time to do it everyday, when not many people are reading it.

Now don’t get me wrong. I’m not saying that you’re not worth it, or that this blog is useless. I still want to keep it going, because we will have updates to share, and people may still check this blog that have a hard time getting the information other ways. But, I’m not going to do it everyday.

My plan at this point, is to do it once a week. I’ll likely post over the weekend sometime, and I’ll just include highlights and updates from the week. That way, I should have something to put in, and can still keep everyone in the loop. We’ll see how that goes, and if people keep checking it along the way.

Like I said, I really hope that this Blog has been a blessing to you in some way, and I hope it can continue to be. if there’s ever anything you’d like to see in it, or have any feedback for us, please just let us know. And thanks for being the faithful few who followed us this whole way!

  1. Thank you Justin!! I have been reading your blog almost every day and I have enjoyed it immensely. Elijah is a special boy and it is amazing how well he is doing. Sometimes at my work have been totally crazy and busy. My prayers for Elijah and his family have not stopped. You are all an amazing family. You have gone through a lot of worries and pressures. Julia has done amazing with home schooling and I’m sure Abigail has taken part in a lot of it.
God bless you, Julia and Elijah and Abigail. I love you all. Aunt Milly

  2. Thanks so much for keeping us all informed! So glad Elijah is doing so well and that life has returned to a new normal for your family. So bummed that we missed seeing you at the anniversary party as we were out of town with Doug’s family that weekend. We will have to try to get together with you guys sometime so our kids can play. Continued blessings for you all!!
