Up and down.

There wasn’t anything huge to share from this week, like there was last week, but this week did have some ups and downs.

The down was that we dealt with some sickness this week. The kids had been dealing with something like a cold for a while, but there was one day in particular that seemed to hit Elijah hard, and me as well. I went into work feeling fine in the morning, and then feeling worse throughout the day. My body was aching, I was congested, and just didn’t feel good. I texted Julia letting her know I was going to come home early from work, and almost at the same time she texted me telling me Elijah had just thrown up. The good news was, that was his only throw up, and we’re pretty sure it was mainly caused by having nothing in his stomach except for medicine and some other stuff, but nothing real substantial. So he was doing quite a bit better after he threw up. I came home from work early and we all had some much needed rest that afternoon. The next day I pretty much felt fine, and Elijah seeed to be doing fine as well. Abigail has still been struggling with her cold a bit, but nothing too serious.

Luckily all this happened before Elijah and Abigail were supposed to have their sleepover at Grandma and Grandpa Rice’s house Friday night. They watched the kids so that Julia and I could have a date night. This was Elijah’s first sleepover since his surgery, and he was so excited about it!

And if that wasn’t good enough, the next morning we got to go to Fountain Hills and see my side of the family at a birthday party for one of our nephews. That was a lot of fun as well.

Those were our big ups for the week. Other than that, it was a pretty normal week.

It’s been 3 months since Elijah had surgery. Can you believe that?!
