That’s right, in exactly two weeks Elijah will turn 7. He’s been through a lot before 7, I guess. Despite everything he’s been through recently, he still has a great outlook on life, and is constantly telling us all his grand plans for his birthday, and for life in general!
7 weeks down.
Today is officially 7 weeks since Elijah’s surgery. It’s amazing to think how quick his healing has taken place. The fact his bones were cut in half, separated with metal plates, and 7 weeks later the bones have almost fully healed and he’s up and walking, seems incredible to me.
Crazy day.
Today was interesting, and a little chaotic. I guess it makes up for those other more boring days.
A taste of the old days.
The old days weren’t that long ago, just before his surgery. But today was probably the closest thing we’ve had to one of those days since his surgery.
Just Monday.
Not much to post today. Julia just said to me, “I’m pretty sure you say that every time!” Not quite, but in our world, no news is good news for the most part.
The best piggyback ride ever.
It may seem like something as simple or silly as a piggyback ride wouldn’t be a big deal. For us, however, it’s huge.
Sitting at the table.
My two quick stories today, are centered around tables.
Walking all over.
Elijah had a very busy day today. He also did a lot of physical activity today.
Starting to move more.
I won’t get into much detail about our day, as it was a pretty normal Thursday for us. What I did want to talk about, though, is the progress Elijah’s making with moving on his own.
A normal day.
Yep, this post is going to be short and boring…maybe. It’s not that we didn’t do things today, but they were just normal life things. Well, I guess things weren’t completely normal, at least for Abigail.
